The greatest risk we face today isn't just "bad" information—it is meaningless work that looks like intelligence.
We are entering the era of "Empty Eloquence." As Ethan Mollick points out, AI is now capable of producing syntactically perfect, professional-sounding prose that lacks "Meaning Density." These are meaning-shaped attention vampires—outputs that consume our attention without delivering proportional insight.
As a professional manager and auditor of high-stakes strategic choices, I see this leading to a dangerous phenomenon: Cognitive Surrender.
When AI-generated work looks this polished, our critical defenses drop. We stop questioning the reasoning. We stop looking for the "noise." We stop being the "Sovereign Reasoners" our organizations require us to be.
To maintain a competitive moat in the age of Agentic AI, we must focus on three imperatives:
1. Reject "Frictionless" Thinking:
True expertise is forged through effort. If we outsource the "struggle" of learning and synthesis, we facilitate skill atrophy.
2. Prioritize Insight Density:
In a world where the cost of a word is zero, volume is a liability. The premium is now on original human judgment and unique synthesis.
3. Manage the Cognitive Portfolio:
We must deliberately choose which tasks to automate and which to fiercely preserve as human.
🎱 Choosing to stay Human ........
At BCCO, we believe AI should be a "Thinking Partner" that expands the boundaries of what we can achieve—never a replacement that shrinks the territory of what we must understand.
The executive mandate for 2026 is clear: Use AI to accelerate the routine, but never outsource the parts of thinking that are too important to lose.
